HOW TO SAVE ON BACK TO SCHOOL ITEMS

Are you gearing up for the back to school rush? It can be quite pricey, getting kiddos ready for school, which is why, today, I’m sharing a few tips for back to school savings!

1. Buy in Bulk – We all know that most foods are cheaper when you buy them in bulk, but did you know that the same is true for school supplies? You can often buy enough pencils, notebooks, and other supplies to last several months, in just one trip!

2. Use Coupons – I don’t always clip coupons, but back to school shopping is the perfect time to clip a few, even if you are not regularly an extreme couponer! Many stores are offering steep discounts via coupon, so now is the time to search for a few coupons for some extra back to school savings, even if you are not usually a coupon clipper!

3. Browse Online – Before you go shopping, spend some time online to figure out who has the best deals! This will save you time and money, because you won’t have to drive from store-to-store comparing prices. This will also save you some time if there are specific brands or products that you are searching for. You can always check here to find out which stores carry the brands that you love!

4. Social Media – Follow your favorite stores and brands on Facebook, Twitter or another form of social media. Many stores and brands now off exclusive coupons to their social media followers, so it is definitely worth it to take a second and hit “like” or “follow”.

5. Only Buy What You Need – If the the kids still have nice clothes that fit, don’t buy an entire new wardrobe. If you have extra, blank, notebooks leftover from last year, use those up first, before buying all new! By using what you can from around the house, you can spread out the cost for school supplies throughout the year, instead of needing it all at one time.

What is your best back-to-school savings tip? I’d love to hear them!
